Okay, today one of my worst nightmares came true! I do not have a photo because I had to get it cleaned up ASAP! I layed Taya down for her morning nap, and around 12:00 I heard her (through the monitor) talking. I thought, "I am going to go get her right now so she will go back down by 2:00". As I approach her room I smell "the smell"! I open the door, and ...
there sits Taya in her crib, the diaper on the floor, (outside of the crib), and poop all over the crib, her hands, and yes her mouth! It was so disgusting!!! I grabbed her and immediately started scrubbing her tongue! I put her in the tub and went to work! I grabbed the toothbrush and brushed her teeth, gums, cheeks, EVERYTHING!!! It was absolutely one of the grossest things ever! My other kids have "experimented" with touching their poop, but I have never had one actually put it into their mouth! So, I am sorry if I offended anyone by this title, but it was absolutely the only way to put it!!! Oh the joys of motherhood! :)

Girly Girls!
So the other day I am dropping off Kyson's friend after kindergarten and got out of the car for literally 1 minute to talk to his mom. When I return this is the sight I saw! Tylee had found my lip gloss and was "sharing" it with Taya. The best part of the whole thing is that Taya sat still the entire time.

White Trash Moment!
For all of you who have looked at someone in the store or elsewhere and thought to yourself..."I cannot believe they would do that! I would NEVER!!!" This is for you! I know that if we are honest with ourselves we have each had one such moment. Well, it is completely obvious that I have lost ALL sense of pride! One day while my mom was here we were busy getting lots done and packing her up for her trip home. We were running around town like crazy people when I realized that we had yet one more stop to make (at Wal-Mart), and had not fed the kids. They were not only starving but exhausted as well. For anyone who has attempted to take exhausted, starving children to Wal-Mart you will understand my predicament! So I of course had to solve the problem!!! One stop at Little Caesars for a Hot and Fresh was just the answer! So we entered Wal-Mart with 3 kids in one cart and a slice of pizza in each of their little hands! Yes I have lost it! Like I said, there is no pride left in me! We did our shopping with the kids eating pizza, sauce all over their faces and drinking warm water from water bottles taken off the Wal-Mart shelf and opened right then and there. I guess this is what 3 young kids has done to me! I am so far from being the "perfect" mom who has it all together all of the time! I thought I would share this lovely experience with everyone so that those of you who are also not the "perfect" mothers will get your laugh for the day! And that you will not be embarrassed if you should have a "white trash moment" yourself!!! Thanks heavens I happened to have my camera to capture the moment!

Please take note of Taya's little peek-a-boo!

Cherished Moments
We were very spoiled and were able to have Grandpa & Grandma Holbrook stay with us in the month of March. My dad was with us just a couple of days, but then my mom stayed with me for 5 more additional days! It was fantastic!!! It has been really hard living so far away from them. I think the hardest part has been the distance for my kids. I have to say however, no matter what the distance is, G&G Holbrook manage to keep relationships strong!!! My children have such a connection with both of them. Tylee has learned the speed dial on my cell phone for each of them (and has known it for quite some time), so they can count on at least one call from her almost daily! It has formed such a special bond between them.
Anyway, while they were here we had a blast! We celebrated Dave's birthday, made cinnamon rolls with Grandma (a family favorite!), ate at In & Out (of course!), and hit the Dollar Store, just to name a few! My mom and I actually went to the 3D movie of Hannah Montana where we were given free T-shirts! The lady selling tickets at the theatre about died when she heard that a 60 year old and her 31 year old daughter were there to watch Hannah Montana! We had so much fun! I will cherish every single second we spent together! Dave was so awesome to let us come and go and do whatever we wanted! We got an entire day of shopping just the two of us thanks to my wonderful husband! The highlight was the Dollar Store experience! The kids thought they had hit the jackpot! Grandma even gave them an extra dollar so they got to get 2 prizes! The most simple things can bring so much joy and happiness to a child! Oh to be a kid again!!!

Happy 34th?!
I cannot believe that Dave is 34 years old!!! Okay, so his birthday was March 3rd! I am still in shock that we are getting so old! The kids had an absolute blast on his birthday! Let's just say that long gone are the days of the "perfectly" decorated cake, wrapped gifts ect... The kids love being involved and so even though it is hard on the perfectionist in me, I have turned it over to them! I honestly get so much joy from watching them and see the excitement in their eyes over the smallest things! Poor Taya was sleeping during all the fun, so she missed out on all the pictures! Another huge blessing was the fact that my mom and dad were in town! We NEVER get that treat, so we were in heaven! We actually got a babysitter and went out to celebrate! Dave's favorite restaurant in the world is Lawry's Prime Rib, so we went there for dinner and then walked around downtown Vegas. We had such a great time!
Dave's favorite breakfast with his new Webkins on his shoulder! He got a bulldog because he sold his real one last year!
Decorating the birthday cake!

The finished product!
It took all 3 of them to put our that fire!!! Yes we did have 34 candles on the cake!

Will you be my Valentine?
Okay, I know I am so late, but please be patient with me as I catch up. I am actually printing my blogs at the end of the year as a journal/scrapbook. Plus, I loved the pictures of my kids on Valentine's Day. We had such a fun day. Kyson and Tylee each made a special gift for their teachers full of the teacher's favorite soda and treats! And of course they took their Valentines to school and brought TONS of candy home! The kids came home to find "surprises" on their beds! And of course they got a special Valentine in the mail from Grandma & Grandpa Holbrook. G&G Holbrook are always so great to remember every single holiday!
Ky and Tylee on their way to school!
Happy Valentine's Day!
The kids with their Valentines surprises!

Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Holbrook!!!

Park Day!
The weather here is gorgeous! We have been taking advantage of days at the park before it gets too hot. Taya absolutely loves the swings! It is so fun to have her be able to take part in the park days too!

Is anyone there?
Here comes Kyson!!!

Free Ice Cream!!!
Tylee's preschool class took a field trip to Anderson Dairy at the end of January (I know I am WAY behind!) Anyway, they had a great time! There are several "talking" animals at one point of the tour, open glass where they can view dairy products being made and packaged, and then the freezer where they make and keep the ice cream. As soon as the kids get to the hallway next to the freezer, storm sounds begin to play and then dry ice is let out through the vents out into the hall. Tylee was terrified! She jumped up in her teacher's arms as fast as she could. She would not walk in the dry ice at all! I was too far behind to get a picture of the event, but it was hilarious! Of course all of the kids' favorite part was the FREE ICE CREAM!!!
Taya on the tour! She loves going along on the field trips with her siblings!!!
My poor little Taya is not only lactose intolerant, but is also allergic to soy products...so no ice cream for her! You can see that she was not too happy about it either!

Look out MJ!!!
I cannot believe that I did not blog during Kyson's entire basketball season!!! He played basketball this winter for his first time on a "team". He loved it! He did so great! I am thoroughly enjoying my little athlete! It is so much fun to see him enjoy every sport he tries! We love going to the games, and the girls are of course Ky's biggest fans!!!
